Vivipary



Vivipary is the condition whereby the embryo (the young plant within the seed) grows first to break through the seed coat then out of the fruit wall while still attached to the parent plant. This condition is found in the Rhizophora. this tree also have leaf blades elliptic, tiny black-spotted below, leaf stalks and stipules often tinged red. it also have seedling viviparous, hypocotyl about 30 cm long, smooth, with somewhat rounded tip.
